The Dallas Cowboys season might be in the gutter but it’s not stopping their franchise quarterback from throwing in the towel just yet.
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Tony Romo is not expected to return to action until Week 16. Romo has missed the last month with a broken collarbone.
Although the initial prognosis was that he’d miss the rest of the season, owner Jerry Jones decided against placing him on injured reserve and would like to see Romo play, no matter the Cowboys record.
Week 16 falls on Christmas Day as Dallas takes on the Arizona Cardinals, who own a severely mediocre secondary.
Romo was first able to throw for the first time this past Sunday but the bone still needs time to fully heal before he can get back on the field.
For the time being, Jon Kitna will remain the starter for the ‘Boys.

Of course Jerry Jones wants to see him play. Why not? It brings him more money. Sure, you risk your franchise QBs career or at least some of next season, but if it isn’t a big deal to you, go for it.
This is why Jerry needs to take a step back, already.
