Now that most of the dust has settled from Week 15 action, it’s being reported that two teams have each lost a starter to season-ending injuries.

Cincinnati Bengals receiver Terrell Owens tore his left meniscus in the team’s win over the Browns today and will obviously miss the remaining two games of the season.

T.O. was carted off of the field after Cincinnati’s first possession of the game and never returned. Owens, who missed practice time this week because of his knee, reportedly first suffered the injury two games ago but kept on playing through it. He’ll most likely need surgery.

Sports Illustrated’s Peter King reported on NBC that it’s definite the 37-year old Owens won’t be back with the Bengals in 2011, but he’s looking to play two more seasons. His one-year stay with the Bengals ends with 72 receptions for 983 yards along with an impressive nine touchdowns.

Shifting gears a bit to Philadelphia, where the team lost a big part of its secondary today. Rookie free safety Nate Allen ruptured his patellar tendon in the team’s triumphant comeback win over the Giants and is done for 2010. He saw his knees give out from underneath him as he went to make a tackle and looked like he immediately knew it was bad.

Allen, who was Philadelphia’s second round pick in this year’s draft, could miss the start of training camp in 2011 because the injury happened so late in the year and is severe by nature. He finished his first season with 45 tackles and three interceptions.
