Days after he tied the NFL record for longest field goal ever made, Sebastian Janikowski has booted himself into some hot water.

Per the Oakland Tribune, Janikowski has been charged with misdemeanor battery and false imprisonment against a woman, Syrena Nicholson, in Walnut Creek, California last year.

According to court documents, Nicholson claimed Oakland’s long-time kicker “did unlawfully violate (her) personal liberty” and “did willfully and unlawfully use force and violence upon (her) person” on September 24, 2010. Janikowski wasn’t arrested at the time, and no motive for his actions was given.

The Raiders have not commented on the matter.

Although a trial date has yet to be set, Janikowski faces a maximum of 18 months in jail and a $3,000 fine should these charges stick.

The normally mild-mannered Janikowski has kept himself out of the police blotter for the better part of the last decade. His previous rap sheet included four arrests during his time at Florida State, a DUI charge in 2002, and a bar fight which occurred less than a year later.

There’s no telling yet what implications (if any) these accusations will have on the rest of his 2011 season, but SeaBass is fully expected to kick against the Bills in Sunday’s Week 2 matchup.

Hmm, the Raiders are trying so hard to keep up the bad boy image that even the kicker is getting arrested.

Honestly, officers, she wouldn’t watch my replay of my 63 yard field goal for the 607th time so yes, I had to make her watch it again. That was unsportsman like conduct on her….where’s a ref when you need one.

That happened almost a year ago,can we get some more statute of limitations? While battery & imprisonment are not tolerable, this is the first time we are hearing about that!

Wow- his criminal history continues to be a classic example of how often athletes get treated wayyy different from the rest of us.
Everything he’s ever been acquitted of would have been serious trouble for the average person. Isn’t this his fifth or sixth serious run-in with the law?
Above all else, anyone with millions of dollars who still has to use (or wants to use) date-rape drugs to get laid is a huge loser, I don’t care how good you can kick a football.

Wow. These dudes need to learn to keep their daliences in check.
Do what ever you have to do, tell her anything you have to…These Hussies are looking for a payday. Why work when you can shake your @ss in front of a pro-athlete?
You make millions, any percieved slight on your part will cost you dearly.
Ask Ben about that…
And You Cornholes on here: He hasn’t been in Trouble in a LONG time. Intentionally keeping his nose clean. And been doing the right thing. If you don’t think its a tramp out to get paid you’re a freaking MORON!
Good luck in the Most Litigious State in the US!
