To this point, the Super Bowl XLVI tilt between the Giants and Patriots has already been dissected, broken down, and analyzed ad nauseum, with every analyst under the sun offering their take on the Big Game.

EA Sports decided to join the fray, using their popular Madden 2012 video game to generate one last prediction of how Sunday’s Super rematch may turn out.

Will Tom Brady take home his fourth championship, cementing his place as the greatest quarterback of all-time?

Or will the underdog Giants once again pull off the upset, earning a second ring for Eli Manning in the house his brother built?

In April, Nike will unveil the new, highly-anticipated NFL jerseys, likely using the Draft to showcase their new product. If it’s anything like these bad boys, then the league will be looking pretty spiffy on Sundays, if I do say so myself.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Ochocinco bought 70 Beats By Dre headphones for each of his teammates to have during their flight to Indianapolis on Sunday for Super Bowl XLVI.

Beats By Dre, created by legendary hip-hop producer Dr. Dre, are considered to be among the best — and priciest — headphones on the market, with even the basic model running upwards of $200.

Something tells me he didn’t go the “cheap” route, however. The custom Gold-plated variation he’s sporting in the picture is a tad more expensive, valued at an astronomical $2,400.

And I was right. Per the Boston Herald, Chad dropped roughly $28,000 on the “Beats Pro” model for his comrades.

“S/O to the big homie @ochocinco for buying the whole team beatsbydre’s!!!! #fresh” safety James Ihedigbo tweeted.

What he spent was simply a drop in the bucket for Ocho, who’s making $6 million this season. Still, it’s a nice gesture by the 11th-year receiver as he gears up for his first ‘Bowl appearance.

This time, of course, ol’ No. 4 wasn’t under center. He was instead taking in Saturday night’s Lions-Saints Wild Card showdown from the comfort of a luxury box.

At this very venue in the 2009 NFC Championship game, Favre was left battered, bruised and defeated after tossing a trademark interception in overtime, giving away what would be his final chance at a second Super Bowl ring.

Brett’s face in the pic above is as accurate representation of that fateful day, and it looks as if it’s still rooted deep into the former gunslinger’s psyche.

While watching the Dolphins-Cowboys Thanksgiving matchup, Owens tweeted some of his thoughts about the game. Specifically, Brandon Marshall, and his impressive 35-yard touchdown reception over Cowboys cornerback Terrence Newman.

If you don’t recall, Newman was literally dragging Marshall to the ground before the ball arrived, drawing an obvious pass interference penalty. It didn’t matter as Marshall ended up snagging the score anyway.

Owens was thoroughly impressed.

“Great concentration & TD by B Marshall w/Newman as a superman cape!! Lol,” he tweeted.

Although relatively harmless, that comment incensed Dallas TV sports anchor Newy Scruggs, who fired back, thus beginning a Turkey Day Twitter war that T.O. wasn’t about to lose.

“@terrellowens (non NFL player) has jokes about @terencenewman1 (NFL guy with money) for getting beat on a TD by Brandon Marshall. Petty TO,” said Scruggs.

“it wasn’t a diss @ T-new, it ws my observation like my observation that u’re FAT & need 2 hit the treadmill ASAP!!” Owens responded.

Yep, there’s the T.O. we all know and love.

Oh, it wasn’t over then, either. Nothing ever ends that easy with the 38-year-old free agent. The two continued a brief back and forth exchange, which went as such.

“So thankful my fat butt has a job, can pay for my kids, and isn’t on TV CRYING about being broke,” tweeted Scrubbs. “I’ll get on a treadmill when you pay your child support. #deadbeat. I’m going to bed. When I get up, I’ll have a job, unlike you. Let’s get back it if you are still alive.”

“Never believe everything u read n the media! I pay my child support, if u Dn’t hv accurate info u need 2 chill! and I’ll b a deadbeat & u’ll still b “fatmeat!” lmao,” Owens retaliated.

Certainly an interesting couple of minutes in the Twit-verse, and more damning proof that points to Owens remaining unemployed.

Personally, I think they did a great (and hilarious) job with each, but the Broncos, Texans, Eagles, and Bucs’ alterations are among the standouts to me. In any case, be sure to check the lot of them below, or, respectively, at Page 2.

Considering his role in this particular flick, however, Gang Green’s faithful might not be too thrilled to see their boisterous leader in action.

Per the New York Daily News, actor and big-time Jets fan Adam Sandler joined Rich Eisen’s podcast on Thursday, announcing that Ryan will appear in his upcoming movie, “I Hate You, Dad.”

Ryan plays an “inexpensive” Boston-based lawyer who also happens to be a … wait for it … “mammoth” Patriots fan. Yes, you read that correctly. No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you.

“He’s my lawyer,” Sandler told Eisen. “My character… is kind of a dirtbag guy and he’s in trouble. Rex is an inexpensive lawyer in town. He takes care of me. He’s also a mammoth Patriots fan in the movie.”

Rex, as always, embraced the challenge, speaking of his on-field mortal enemies in a scene shot in Massachusetts.

“We wrote it in the script,” Sandler said. “He was great enough to be loose and funny about it. He talks about Brady. He talks about Coach Belichick. He’s really cool.”

It shouldn’t be too hard for Ryan to trade in the headset for a film set; he (along with general manager Mike Tannenbaum) guest-starred on an episode of CSI: NY this past April.

This time it’ll just be a little tougher to swallow for Jets fans.

Take, for instance, Stevie Johnson, the Bills’ leading receiver who wowed his teammates and followers after imitating his head coach with a familiar fashion statement.

Via the Sporting News, Johnson took to Twitter on Monday night to show off his Halloween costume, an exact replica of Chan Gailey‘s typical gameday garb — right down to the play-call sheet.

He captioned the picture, saying, “Stevie do that lil thing you do off the line and, and, you know.. We’ll have a Big Play.”

Apparently, Johnson’s outfit was a big hit in the locker room.

“Oh yeah, I saw it,” quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick told the Buffalo News. “It was good. It was pretty funny. Somehow, I don’t know how, Stevie makes every outfit he wears look cool. Not to say that Chan doesn’t look cool, but that vest, Stevie made it look cool.’’

Gailey, who’s yet to feast his eyes on the image, took Johnson’s flattery in stride.

“He’s got too much time on his hands,” Gailey said.

At 5-2, Buffalo has plenty of reason to smile, but their demeanor will have to change quickly as a huge Week 9 divisional showdown with the Jets looms.

According to ESPN.com, Gruden agreed to a new five-year extension with the worldwide leader in sports on Monday. The former Raiders and Bucs head man will stay put in the Monday Night Football broadcast booth alongside Mike Tirico and Ron Jaworski.

“Our Monday Night Football crew is special, and to have the opportunity to continue to be a part of this team, working these big-time NFL prime time games every week on ESPN, I’m fired up,” Gruden said in a statement.

Since he stepped away from the gridiron, Gruden has been lauded for his work MNF, earning two Sports Emmy nominations and general praise from fans for his X’s & O’s insight into the game.

Some thought the 48-year-old Gruden would be tempted to re-join the coaching ranks if the right opportunity became available, but he appears to be content with his new career choice.

Although it was (assumed to be) a tongue-in-cheek gesture, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll went a step beyond, and took to Twitter Wednesday to offer Bron Bron an open invitation to Seattle’s roster in the form of a custom made jersey. Check it out above.

While James is known to be a bit of a jokester, it wouldn’t be the first time we see a player cross-over in sports; Michael Jordan and Bo Jackson come to mind immediately. And with LeBron out of a job, the possibility — although extremely faint — of him donning shoulder pads and the like becomes that much more tangible.

However, it’ll ultimately remain a pipe dream as James will stick to the hardwood, even if his season is truncated — or lost altogether.
